My first attempt at using bugle beads in a necklace, and experiment with graduation in tonal values from silver to black.
Silver Spiral Necklace

Miyuki 3mm bugles in black
Japanese 14/0s in hematite
Czech 11/0s in black diamond
Czech silverlined clear size 2 bugles
This necklace was inspired by the bugle bead necklace in (you guessed it) Innovative Beaded Jewellry Techniques , but is not made according to those instructions. I had a hard time with them (and have since figured out what I was doing wrong), so I resorted to the stitch I used in several of my other spirals and substituted the bugles for the standard rows of beads. The bugles lay on each other tightly and give an even more "spirally" shape to the spiral than the beads would have.
